Nicole Weber, Executive Director – Eau Claire

Finding ways to inspire and RETAIN our Azura Team is something we are always looking to do.  Nicole the Executive Director of our Azura Memory Care of Eau Claire home found an INNOVATIVE way to do just that.

Over the holidays she created a 12 Days of Christmas themed morale booster for her Team, which they loved. From coffee to candy, she found ways to share her appreciation for all that they do.  One day’s theme was Mint items with the attached note: Thank you for your: Commit-MINT, Invest-MINT, Encourage-MINT, and Involve-MINT!  Here’s a little Enjoy-MINT!

Great job on thinking outside of the box and finding ways to have fun and appreciate our EXCEPTIONAL team!

Jenica Roenneburg, Quality of Life Coordinator – Monroe

Jenica is the Quality of Life Coordinator for our Azura Memory Care of Monroe home and was nominated by her Team for her ability to help them and our residents RECOVER.

According to her Team, “she is a great helper and teacher for new people that come to Azura.”  Jenica is able to work with our residents to help calm when needed and engage them in personalized smiles throughout the day.

She also shares her many talents with the residents, including taking the time to paint a picture of resident’s grandchild and the residents recently deceased pet.  This enabled the resident to RECOVER during her grief by seeing her dog, but also someone that made her smile too.  Jenica has painted other pictures for our residents, but this one truly was a piece of heartfelt art!  Thank you Jenica!

Tracy Stanelle, Senior Executive Director – Stoughton

For more than a decade Tracy has been leading the care and compassion at our Azura Memory Care of Stoughton home.  She was nominated by numerous Team members within her home and across our Azura family for her willingness to help wherever needed.

Her Team shares, “Tracy is an amazing member of Team. She comes in every day with a smiling face and a positive attitude no matter what the circumstances are.  She spends time with the residents and clearly cares about all of them like they are her own family member.”

According to one nomination, “the Stoughton home would not be the amazing place it is if it wasn’t for Tracy!”  Thank you, Tracy for taking the time to be there for our Team and our resident your role in helping them RECOVER their smiles is apparent!

Cindy Nerge, Quality of Life Coordinator – Stoughton

Cindy has been an integral part of the Azura Memory Care of Stoughton team as a caregiver for many years, but recently extended her skills to become our Quality of Life Coordinator.

As such Cindy is often found helping on the floor, while working with residents on craft activities or leading them in exercise. She juggles much, but always with a smile.  One nomination said, “Thank you for all your hard work” and informed her that when she is not there the residents miss her.

“She takes the extra time to list to all of the residents and give them the RESPECT and care that they want and need,” explained another nomination.  Whatever role Cindy fills at Azura she does it EXCEPTIONALly well!  We are proud and honored to have Cindy as part of the Azura Team.  Thank you, Cindy for all that you do!

Tom Miller, Maintenance Technician – Stoughton and Monroe

While it is true that when one works in Maintenance you might be considered a jack-of-all-trades, but we do not believe Santa Claus is one that would normally be considered.

However, for Tom our Maintenance Technician for our Azura Memory Care of Stoughton and Azura Memory Care of Monroe homes it was a role he was honored to play.  This past holiday Tom took it upon himself to don a red suit and white beard and share some holiday cheer with our residents and Team.  Making their holidays EXCEPTIONAL and bright!

Tom also played a big role in helping find space to hold trainings and job fairs for our Monroe community.  Aiding them in ensuring that our EXCEPTIONAL training and onboarding process for new Team members went on without a hitch!  Thank you, Tom for being EXCEPTIONAL!!!

Lucas Kohne, Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist – Support Center

“Lucas is the epitome of Azura’s Core Values,” shared one nomination for Lucas, Azura’s Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist. “Not only does he do the work of what probably 5 other people would do, he is always smiling, kind, caring and helpful.”

Lucas is known for crunching numbers but is also never too busy to lend an ear or hand wherever needed.  Including putting together furniture or holding the hand of a resident in need of a moment of RECOVERy. 

Another nomination explains, “Lucas is always kind on the telephone and takes the time to answer questions. Lucas has a positive attitude and is easy to talk to.”  Thank you, Lucas, for being there for our residents, Team, and our numbers too!

Aimee Zingg, Registered Nurse – Stoughton

According to her Azura Memory Care of Stoughton Team, “Aimee is a great nurse!! She is always there to answer questions and address concerns.”

Another Team member writes, “she is always willing to help on us on the floor when needed.”  Aimee is known for her thoroughness and ability to help the Team understand whatever is going on with a resident from a medical standpoint. 

She assists in helping residents RECOVER when they are ill, but also takes time to engage with them on a personal level to also aid in the RECOVERy of their smiles too!  Thank you, Aimee for all that you do!

Tanya Wolfgram, Caregiver – Oshkosh

Tanya has been a part of our Azura Memory Care of Oshkosh family for more than two decades!  We are truly blessed to have her assisting our residents and our Team. 

Recently Tanya assisted a resident and family during their loved one’s passing.  Not only did Tanya ensure their loved one was comfortable, but also assisted each of the family to visit treating them with kindness, compassion and understanding.

According to the family they were, “so thankful they found Azura” and the personalized care their loved one received.  Thank you, Tanya for you continued dedication to our residents and their families!  We have truly RETAINed the finest in you!

Jackie Moss, Caregiver – Beloit

“Jackie is awesome when it comes to paying attention and giving each resident love,” said an Azura Team member in their nomination for Jackie a long-time caregiver at our Azura Memory Care of Beloit community.

Jackie has been a tremendous asset to our residents and Team in Beloit for many years.  She is known for treating all with the greatest of RESPECT

“She always come in and hugs and speaks to every resident,” said another nominator.  “She is a great Team member. I love working with her!”

Tonya Mansfield, Caregiver – Stoughton

Tonya has been a Caregiver at our Azura Memory Care of Stoughton home for several years.  According to her fellow team, “Tonya always shows how EXCEPTIONAL she is, not only to our residents, but to our Team as well.”

From picking up shifts to helping ensure that medications passed with care and compassion, Tonya proves she is RESPECTful of her Team and our residents in all that she does.  She ensures our residents are looking their best and ready to take on the day with a joyful smile.
